The Northern California Koyasan Temple will hold its New Year’s Day Shusho-e Service on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at 11:00 am. The Service will be held at the Temple and will also be broadcast live via Zoom.
During the Service the Goma Fire Ritual will be held and the ceremonial burning of the Soe Gomagi (wooden prayer stick) with each person’s prayer(s) and wish(es) will be performed. Please complete the Soe Gomagi Form and return to the Temple. Reverend Mimatsu will then prepare the Soe Gomagi with each person’s prayer(s) and wish(es). Please return the form no later than Wednesday, December 28, 2022.
Please use the attached Soe Gomagi form for your prayer(s)/wish(es) and mail or email to the Temple. Thank you.
Two types of forms have been attached and sent in a separate email. One form is in PDF to print, complete, and mail to NC Koyasan Temple, 1400 U Street, Sacramento, CA 95818. The other form can be completed online and emailed to info@nckoyasan.org
Donations may be submitted by check to NC Koyasan Temple or electronically by PayPal or Venmo on the Temple’s website. If you have any questions, please call the Temple at (916) 444-0111.
