Join us this Saturday, August 1st, at 1:30 pm at the Northern California Koyasan Temple for our Toronagashi Lantern Making Workshop.
Toronagashi is the Japanese tradition in which illuminated lanterns are floated on the water to honor loved ones who have passed, express gratitude to our ancestors, and offer prayers for peace and safe passage.
Creating a lantern is a heartfelt way to remember those who remain close to us in spirit and to take part in an important tradition that brings families and the community together through remembrance, compassion, and hope.
All supplies will be provided, and no experience is necessary.
A suggested donation of $15 is appreciated, but no one will be turned away for being unable to contribute.
Everyone is warmly welcome to participate. We hope to see you there!
