On Sunday, January 19th, the Temple will be observing its Hatsu Daishiku Service, the first regular service of 2025.  The Hatsu Daishiku Service provides a time and place where we can also present our first of the year greetings and pay our respects and express our gratitude to Kobo Daishi and to all of our ancestors.

After the service, ozoni will be served in the social hall. Ozoni is a Japanese New Year’s mochi soup that’s made with vegetarian broth and served with mochi in it.

It will be held at 1:30 pm at the temple and via Zoom.  Please contact the Temple at info@nckoyasan.org or 916.444.0111 for more information.
