Come and join us for the Family Picnic Day and Aoba Matsuri Service on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the Anne Rudin Peace Pond at William Land Park.
Please bring your friends and family and celebrate the day with a picnic lunch followed by the Aoba Matsuri service. For lunch, you can either purchase a bento box lunch from the Aji Japanese Bistro or if you prefer, you can bring your own picnic lunch. Here is the order form for the $25 bento box lunches. Please submit your application form(s) and donation (via check payable to NC Koyasan Temple or electronically by PayPal or Venmo) no later than Friday, May 31, 2024, or mail it to the temple at 1400 U St., Sacramento, CA 95818
If you prefer, you may pay through “Venmo” or “PayPal.” Pay through the Temple’s Donations page. Add “Family Picnic Bento Box” along with your name in the comments section of your Venmo or Pay Pal payment. You can also email completed forms to: info@nckoyasan.org.
Since the area has no picnic tables, you will need to bring your own chairs and blankets so remember to bring them along. We will begin distributing pre-ordered bento boxes at 11:30 a.m. The Aoba Matsuri service will begin at 1:30 pm.
