Our annual Toronagashi service and Picnic will be held at the Anne Rudin Peace Pond in William Land Park in Sacramento on Sunday, August 11th, at 5:00 p.m. Following the service will be odori dancing, our taiko group performance, and the floating of the memorial lanterns on the pond.
For the Toronagashi dinner, you can either purchase a bento box or you may bring your own food. Light refreshments will be available on site. The bento boxes will be prepared by Fuji’s on Broadway and available for $20 each. Click here for the order form for selections. Please submit the order form with your payment to the Temple by Friday, August 2nd. As there is no seating at the park, please bring something to sit on.
