Our annual Toronagashi service and Picnic with lantern floating will be held at the Anne Rudin Peace Pond in William Land Park in Sacramento on Sunday, August 11th, with the picnic starting at 11:00 a.m. and Toronagashi starts at 5:00 p.m. Following the service will be odori dancing, our taiko group performance, and the floating of the memorial lanterns on the pond.
Please bring your own chair or picnic blanket
For the Toronagashi dinner, you can either purchase a bento box (with the link below) or you may bring your own food. Light refreshments will be available on site. The bento boxes will be prepared by at the temple and are available for only $10 for either option. Click here if you prefer the PDF Toronagashi Bento Order Form.
Please submit the order form with your payment to the Temple by Friday, August 2nd. As there is no seating at the park, please bring something to sit on.
