The Northern California Koyasan Temple will hold its annual Shichi-Go-San Ceremony and Children’s Special Blessing Service at the temple on:
Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
Although Shi-Chi-Go-San is a Japanese festival celebrating the health and growth of children aged 3-5-7, all children between the ages of 3 and 8 are also welcomed to participate in this ceremony.
All children are invited to participate in either the Shichi-Go-San Ceremony or Children’s Special Blessing Service. Following the service, the Chitose Ame (thousand-year candy) which symbolizes long life and an omamori will be presented to each participating child.
The registration fee is $35.00 per child for members and $40.00 per child for nonmembers.
Please submit your order at least one week before the service. The deadline is November 17, 2025

1. Traditional Method: Complete the 2025 Shichi-Go-San and Children’s Special Blessing Service Application Form and mail or email to NC Koyasan Temple or mail them to NC Koyasan/Shichigosan, 1400 U St, Sacramento, CA 95757
Payment can be made by check or electronically by PayPal or Venmo on the temple’s website. Please refer to the application form for further details.
2. Online: You can also fill out the application form and pay completely online using the link below (or the QR code at the bottom of the paper form).
