Description
Ofuda are Japanese talismans that are believed to bring good luck and protection. They are typically made of paper or wood, and they are often decorated with the name of a shrine or temple. Ofuda are often hung on the walls of homes or businesses, or they are carried around as a good luck charm. The tradition of using ofuda is thought to have originated in the Heian period (794-1185), and it has been passed down for generations.
Our Kifuda (Wood Talisman) are painted by hand and reference the Northern California Koyasan Temple in Sacramento. The Large Kifuda is a prayer to Kannon Bostatsu.
