Announcements for September 2019

San Jose Daishiko Service - The September 2019 San Jose Daishiko service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019.  The cemetery visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the Daishiko service will start as 12:00 p.m. at the Miyahara residence. 


Evening Meditation Session - The September session is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2019, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Temple sanctuary. 


September Goeika Practice Cancelled - Due to a schedule change, the normally scheduled Goeika practice on Saturday, September 14, 2019 has been CANCELLED.


Autumn Higan Service - The Autumn Higan Service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019, starting at 1:30 p.m.


September Fujinkai Workshop Date Change - The Fujinkai’s September workshop (the last one for the year) will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., in the Temple’s social hall.  Taiko instructor, Kaori Kubota-Sakauye will be teaching attendees to make origami lilies!  There is no charge for the workshop, so everyone is invited to attend.  And the Fujinkai serves tasty refreshments!

Taiko Group Performance Schedule for 2019 - The schedule for Taiko Group performances for 2019 is now available for viewing.  Click on the link to view their page.  Click on the link to view events they participated in August 2019.


Trying to find a form?  Most Temple event forms are available under the “Calendar” link above.  Go to the current year and then the month the event will be happening.  Links to the forms are there by the date of the event.  Links are disabled after the event has passed.  Membership forms are under the “Membership” link above.


Parking Restrictions Around the Temple - The City of Sacramento is enforcing parking restrictions in the area around the Temple.  This will impact any Temple activities during the week and on weekends.  The owner of the CalFire lot across the street is graciously allowing Temple members and guests to park in the CalFire lot and alley spaces on the weekends and after business hours (after 5:00 pm).  More information with a grid map is available at the City of Sacramento website:  https://www.cityofsacramento.org/-/media/Corporate/Files/Public-Works/Publications/Parking/Residential-ParkingUpdate-V2-Sept-2016.pdf?la=en.
